Even though we travel through Mobile, Alabama quite a bit, Fairhope wasn’t on our radar until a couple of years ago. And, after one stay, we are looking forward to going back. Fairhope’s adorable downtown and waterfront sunsets set the stage for a great place to relax and reconnect. Stay at the historic Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, a Marriott Autograph property right on the Mobile Bay that’s been welcoming guests since 1847. Its a spot you may have never heard of, but the list of celebrity guests is extensive including the likes of Zac Brown, Bob Hope, George Bush, Robert DeNiro, and Bo Jackson.
Stroll through local restaurants, art galleries, and cute boutiques downtown. Or, for a more active trip, take a kayak tour of Mobile Bay. Then feast on fresh Gulf seafood at Panini Pete’s. End your day with dinner at our favorite seafood spot on the coast, Felix’s Fish Camp. Then, watch the sunset at the Fairhope Pier.

We took a day trip to Fredericksburg when we were in San Antonio and I immediately knew it would be a great spot for a girls weekend.
